Kenneth Ford is a Senior Associate Attorney whose practice areas focus on federal and state tax law and civil litigation. He brings a multidisciplinary background in corporate litigation, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, corporate transactions, tax-exempt organizations, and tax planning, allowing him to deliver comprehensive legal solutions across all stages of business development, operations, and dispute resolution.

Ken has extensive experience in tax controversy, federal tax planning, state and local taxation, and advising tax-exempt organizations. He is known for providing strategic and creative counsel tailored to his clients’ specific business objectives and litigation needs.

Before joining the firm, Ken handled civil litigation matters from inception through trial and served in tax policy roles with two state taxing authorities. His professional experience also includes work in insurance defense litigation, aerospace law, cannabis law, and estate planning. He previously served as a Tax Policy Analyst with both the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts and the Washington State Department of Revenue.

Education:

Ken earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Bethune-Cookman University, his Juris Doctor from Texas Southern University, and his Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Taxation from the University of Florida.

He is a Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP) and is admitted to practice law in Florida, Texas, and Washington.
